X5 idle sound, experts chime in please

Is this a normal sound for the m54 at idle in Park Position,
sounds like a whistle near the disa.
only mod was a K&N drop in filter under the hood.
temperature was around 40 F and car was drivin for around 30 minutes on highway prior.

It's hard to tell without hearing it in person. However, it does sound a bit like you're beginning to get a small leak. First, I'd make sure that all the intake hose connections are on/tightened properly. Second, I'd take out the disa valve and check: 1) that the flap isn't hanging (i.e. broken), and 2) that the housing gasket is still "thick" (if not, either of those, or both, could be the culprit[s]).

Yeah it sounds like air is russhing in somewhere. check the DISA valve and make sure all hoses clipped in and no cracks. like Bayerische just said
