Goodwood??? I hate you!

Been to Goodwood twice (stuck around Europe after the Le Mans 24hr in '04 & '08).
No better automobile event on the PLANET!!!

I went with the full purple Powerflex kit on my X (subframe included, not installed yet).

The Powerflex bushings make a noticeable difference in reducing geometry change due to mushy OE bushings deflecting under chassis loading & over bumps. A few hot laps around the Sebring 12hr track (with 5 on board) proved the Powerflex setup is worth EVERY cent!

Tire wear was also reduced.

I was there in 1999 or 2000, can't remember, I have the guide somewhere. Was working in London at the time, a friend said "Hey, you wanna go watch some cars drive up a hill?"

"Ok".

I had no idea what it was. One of these years, I'm going to take my son and go back.

I had no problem getting the ball joint separated, or the joint out of the knuckle. But I had to drill the remnants of the Torx stub out of the knuckle after the bolt was frozen.

That is the biggest understatement ever spoken! He should have said, want to see some of the rarest race & street vehicles race up a crazy narrow estate driveway, some driven by the most respected drivers on the planet!

I took my oldest son both times (12 the 1st trip, 16 the 2nd trip). He thought the Sebring 12hr was incredible, until he saw Le Mans & Goodwood.

I remember walking around the paddock area at the top and seeing Sir Sterling Moss just casually chatting with people. And John Surtees. And Jacky Stewart. It was surreal.

I was at a Lotus Owners meet at Goodwood in the 80's. Spent way too much money on Lotus souvenirs.
