I think I will now go to other items that feed X322. These include fuses 72 and 75 so I will start with them.

I have finally solved my X5 "sleep" problem. I did not mean to hijack this thread, but maybe this solution will help someone else with the same battery drain problem I had.
My problem begins with Fuse 74 which provides constant power to the telephony equipment on the X5. My truck does not have any telephony equipment so I did not think was the source of the "sleep" problem, but when I removed Fuse 74, the truck went to sleep (after 16 minutes). One of the circuits from Fuse 74 goes to the telephone cradle in the center console - the circuit goes through a connector called X4545 which is located in the center console under the emergency brake. This location is also under the cup holder and gets wet if there is a big spill inside the cup holder. My problem was that this connector had some gunk on it from a spill and was causing some type of cross-connection that did not allow the clock display on the MID to turn off. Once I cleaned this connector the problem was solved. So the symptoms of the "sleep" problem was that the clock remained on the MID display and this meant the truck could not go "sleep". Once the connector X4545 was cleaned the clock turned off that the problem was solved. Hope this helps someone in the X5 community.
