bmw x5 comfort seats

this may be a bit daft , had sport seats , rear seat had two headrests plus the centre headrest , after fitting the comfort seats from an older model it only has the two headrests, no centre one, and of course two belts ,instead of three with the sport seats i had, is it possible to add a centre headrest to the new comfort seats ,thanks

this is a bit daft, mate - what do you drive? a ford? an opel? maybe a bmw? what bmw? could it be an e53? what year? what were your donor seats? did they come from a 7-series? or an X6? i realize that it is so obvious to you and i am just asking stupid questions, but please understand me too - i am an ocean away, and can't see your ride, so i am going exclusevely by what you typed up - and belive me, there is not much to understand other than you had sport seats and fitted comfort seats and now have two headrests and two seatbelts...

give us more details, otherwise your post will be ignored - people will read it, will have nothing to say and will move on - and we like newcomers, we don't like to ignore them... as a matter of fact, pictures speak volumes, post pictures of before (if you have them) and after...

yes got a set of comfort seats from a 2003 bmw x5 e53 that had only done 25 miles from germany, mine is a bmw x5 2005 e53 and had the sport seats , which had the three headrest on rear plus the seatbelt for the middle , now when i got the comfort seats the rear seat has only the two seat option ,no belt for middle and no middle headrest , so i was just wondering if its possible to retrofit a headrest for the centre rear ,

I'm not sure which diagram you need because nothing in the parts database that I could find indicates that there's a specific "comfort seat" for the rear. But as you can see in the diagrams & links below (I used the rear seat diagrams from a Jan/2003 build 4.4i X5)...there is a center head rest specifically for the rear seat, and it looks like the support mechanisms for a center head rest is set-up in the frame work of the seats if its not visible from the exterior:

RealOEM.com * BMW E53 X5 4.4i THROUGH-LOADING FACILITY-SEAT COVER

RealOEM.com * BMW E53 X5 4.4i Headrest, center seat

And as far as the rear center seatbelt...you could tell us better than us few who've never removed the bottom seat...let alone seen a rear "comfort seat"...when you had the bottom seat out...was there a place to anchor (#5) the rear center seatbelt to the body of the car...and was there openings in your "rear comfort seats" for the belt to come thru?

no opening for third centre seatbelt in the seats i have put in , but the sports seats i took out did and had the third centre headrest ,which i would like to put into this seats i have now , so the seats i have put in which is comfort seats is from a 2003 model , so do you think the items for the third centre headrest will be there if so next problem is trying to get one in grey leather

by any chance, do you have the VIN from the donor car? with that info, we can look up the rear seat parts for that car to see if there is any material difference between the two... you have an anchor for the seatbelt, as those things are part of your car, right?

dont have the vin but came out of a 2003 bmw x5 e53, ,on these seats i have put in there is no third seat belt ,aswell as no centre headrest , but of course my original sport seats had the third seat belt and the centre headrest and i do have the anchor on the bottom where seat base sits , i may be able to find out vin i will try but not too much hope , its just trying to find a headrest for the centre and bits in grey
