Steering Wheel Control

Hi

Was just wondering if i go aftermarket HU, where can i wire up the Steering Wheel Control?
Is it in where all the TV/Radio modules are?

steering wheel buttons are not dry contacts, you can not wire them - they are microcontroller units connected to iBus and sending "telegrams" that are received by intended devices. your aftermarket devices must "talk iBus" in order to understand the commands...

Yes i realize .

There are steering wheel control modules (SWC) out there, what i'm trying to ask is if i have a SWC, where would i need to connect it in the X5? In the trunk?

anywhere on the iBus line - trunk is the most common, but glove compartment is another... anywhere, the iBus wire is a single wire inside the car, as long as you tap into it, you are good...
