2000 to 2005 upgrade,is it worth it?
Hi Guys,
I have an internal fight over if I should upgrade with a 5 years younger X. Options are good on a new one, like panoroof, heated back seats etc. I have my 2000 with rebuilt tranny and some other stuff, but needs TLC and the timing chain guides(at least),some minor surface rust under the hatch lip and door trim... It needs rear suspension update, have all the parts, which I could use on the newer one as well. Right now I am driving a Mazda CX7 and zoom zoom gives me no towing hitch and pessimal gas mileage of 18l/100kms city and 13l/100 highway. Not to mention the reduced interior room and ride quality. So I don't know if I should reanimate my 2000 and get stuff fixed, like some leaks, rust,NEW TIRES,although I still like my Oxford green better that the Silver of the 2005 candidate, and the simple mechanical stuff in the power train..... Mazda would get an almost even trade in value as the asking price.
