there are no fuses listed for the gong... the gong is located in the driver's footwell area and has a couple of connectors... you would need to pull the guard plastic cover to gain access to the gong itself and see if the connectors are connected or maybe, they are disconnected... if the connectors are connected, then you should try to get a new gong, hopefully it will fix the problem...

do you have Park Distance Control (PDC) option? the gong operates with the PDC to warn of the front obstacles...

Well...

I removed the drivers footwell and checked that the GONG was indeed connected properly.

It was, i disconnected and connected again and then retired the GONG test number 13 but no sound could be heard.

I have just ordered a new GONG off eBay.

You think this should fix it?

it is hard to tell if this will fix the problem - if the speaker is bad, it will fix the problem, if the speaker is good but the signal is not feeding to the speaker, it will not fix it... How much was speaker? what part number? if it wasn't too much, it is ok to have a spare one...

Thanks.

Hopefully it will fix it.

If it does not and it is the signal as your say, how can this be fixed?

The speaker was cheap like £12 which is around $17.
