So once the UV coating is removed from the headlight covers, do you have a product to reapply the coatings?

I used the 3M kit on my E39. It has been 2 yrs.

blktoptrvl, the Sylvania kit has the UV spray. It wasn't available when I did the headlight on my E39.

Another OUTSTANDING product to refinish headlights is Novus Plastic Polish & Plastic Cleaner. It's even certified by Boeing and Cessna.

I've restored a number of headlights over the years with this.

No. 1 (cleaner) and No. 2 (fine polish) are what you need. Ebay, local private airports and similar sell this.

I use "Kit Scratch out" and then put a coat of wax over the light to help with the protection.

I used the Mother's headlight restoration kit. It was better than the 3M that I used a few years ago. Check it out if you are still looking.

ake53, I see a slight change in the color of your taillights after the restore (from the photos). Is the improvement more noticeable with your eyes? My taillights look just like yours did before the restore. Thanks!
