2001 BMW X5 clicking noises when accelerate when start front full stop

Hi Otto,
I got a 2001BMW X5with 3.0 with 180K miles and when the drive accelerate there clicking noises near front driver side and I replace all the lower and upper control arms with lower ball joints and both axel. The car still make clicking. If the accelerate slowly front full stop then no noise. The only things that I can thinks off is might be front drive shaft is going bad. It only I accelerate fast front full stop and when rear. Can someone had that experience that clicking noises. it sound like metal hitting again each other. Can you give me procedures on how to replace front drive shaft.

Thanks you so much.

Clicking noise from the front drive shaft is almost always the CV joint. Either replace the joint itself for $150ish or get yourself a whole new drive shaft for $600ish

Hi Bulk,
I hope this is the part that I need it and cost $723.4.
BMW E53 X5 M54 3.0L > Search > 51 11 8 250 414 > ES#48650 Driveshaft - Front - 26207508629
Please let me know if that correct before I place order with ecstuning.

Thanks,
uhenry1
