Need a little help identifying what I broke-SOLVED

Hey Everyone. I started doing the valve cover gaskets on my 2001 X5 (E53) 4.4i today, and I inadvertently broke what appears to be a vacuum line. It was somewhat brittle and when I went to move it over while putting the cover back on it snapped.

I just need to know what it goes to at the front side of the engine. It starts at the driver side fender well area next to the coolant lines that run there. From there, it goes toward the firewall and then runs along the top of the valve cover toward the front of the engine.

My problem is that the end at the front of the engine was already broke off and I didn't notice it until today so I don't know where it is supposed to be hooked up and I can't see any obvious spots. I've also been looking for a good diagram of the vacuum lines and couldn't find that either.

Any help is greatly appreciated. If it helps, I can try to get a picture tomorrow. It got dark on me this evening before I could get one and one of my lights went out in my garage.

Hi bro, that's the vacuum line for the fuel pressure regulator.
It does have a strange path...
It connects to the nipple on the air intake hose right near the throttle body
I recently replaced mine with nice bright blue silicon vacuum hose that I would normally use on my track car.

Thanks. I'll check it out in a few when I head out to finish the job.

Thanks again frozenwaffles. That was it. Unfortunately the nipple was broken off the air intake, which is why I missed it when I was looking for where it went. I guess it is off to the dealer to get some parts tomorrow.
