Need a little help identifying what I broke-SOLVED

Hey Everyone. I started doing the valve cover gaskets on my 2001 X5 (E53) 4.4i today, and I inadvertently broke what appears to be a vacuum line. It was somewhat brittle and when I went to move it over while putting the cover back on it snapped.

I just need to know what it goes to at the front side of the engine. It starts at the driver side fender well area next to the coolant lines that run there. From there, it goes toward the firewall and then runs along the top of the valve cover toward the front of the engine.

My problem is that the end at the front of the engine was already broke off and I didn't notice it until today so I don't know where it is supposed to be hooked up and I can't see any obvious spots. I've also been looking for a good diagram of the vacuum lines and couldn't find that either.

Any help is greatly appreciated. If it helps, I can try to get a picture tomorrow. It got dark on me this evening before I could get one and one of my lights went out in my garage.
