The 1st method that comes to mind is to spread two fingers on the same hand wide enough so that you're touching both driver/pass temp button/arrows at the same time, then press each button at the same time.

Obviously I have no official method...just the aforementioned kludge.

The e39 & e53 share the same IHKA control unit...so info belw applies to both:
