Yes do this. I actually just this week contacted Bridgestone on the year old tires on my wife's w211. A regional manager contacted me by phone within a couple of days and wants to inspect the car and tires. Haven't had time to schedule yet but I was very impressed with both speed and action on their part.

Thanks for the input guys, but I really think at this point I'm just going to forego any further pursuit of this matter and order replacements from another manufacturer.

Leaning that way. I just don't know if I want to give up the width (the duelers look absolutely siick)...from what I'm reading they appear narrower than the duelers, but then again increase in ride comfort may be worth the tradeoff.

They Looks Narrower bec Duelers are RFT right....and Dws are NRFT.....i did not really see a noticeable difference but more on ride comfortability.....i say Go For IT!!!>...

I Think Duelers are NRFT, at least mine are non RFT...I actually don't mind the ride at all, interesting to hear that a lot of people complain about the ride comfort with bridgstone..

I've driven a few miles on a 4.6is with Dueller HP's (ETA NRFT) and I was not impressed honestly. I actually prefer the OEM Turanzas in 255/275 19" sport wheels on my 3.0.

Apples to oranges I know, but the Turanzas are softer riding (even considering the size difference imo), and the look to be wearing better than the Duellers given the same mileage.

I've driven through some twisty mountain passes and the Turanzas have enough grip for how I drive it. I dont feel disadvantaged at all having the less sporty Turanzas.

Am not sure if the Turanzas are available in 4.6/4.8 size though.'

Just my experience between the two.

nice to hear TireRack is offering 10% off the next order, what are your options down to? I saw the DWS in person on Mike's car the other day, they really look great and I love the tread pattern. What are your options again that TR offers? Just the duelers or DWS?

Mike, thanks for the comparison...the dWs doesn't look to be all that bad actually.

@ukrcan: the duelers come in both RFT and non-rft versions. I don't mind the ride of them at all; a pretty well mannered tire I you ask me.. They can be a bit noisy on some of our streets here that use larger aggregate, but are fine everywhere else.

@g300d: unfortunately, when it comes to the staggered setup for the x we're pretty limited.

@ricky: Yes, it was unexpected from tire rack, but appreciated! Options are pretty much the DWS or the Michelin latitude tour. This time around I plan to stay away from the "performance" tires in hopes of a bit more forgiving ride on our forever deteriorating streets. With the current set of discounts on the DWS, I'd be bout $820 for the set. As for the tread pattern, I'm not a huge fan as it looks to me (online at least) like two different tires on either side, have yet to see the tire in person however.

I also ordered the DWS...at Canadian Tire of all places. Rears only. Around 783.28 bux, which is about 200 more than Tirerack after shipping & taxes......(we are talking 315 x 35 x 20)
