Oil temperature indicator high, any ideas?

Hey guys, I'm having a problem with my 4.6, I recently took it to the shop to get some work done to it and now the oil temperature indicator is reading high. Even when the vehicle is cold and I turn the key to the on position, it would go to the halfway mark and when I start the engine, the guage would go pass 3/4. I have searched to see if there is a temperature switch but no luck so far. I replaced the oil pressure switch on the oil filter housing but it still reads the same. What do your'll think would be my problem? The vehicle runs very smooth and quiet except for that one problem which I definitely need to correct. Thanks for your input.
