Please advise; unexpected fuel filter hose clamps

I had a couple days off work this week and decided to finally change the fuel filter on my 2001 X5 3.0i with 163K. After spending all afternoon wrestling with pulling the belly pan down far enough to access the fuel filter I was surprised to find these type of hose clamps as I was expecting the "squeeze/blue clip" version. I'm not 100% sure how to remove/loosen this type of clip. I suspect they're not reusable and will need to be replaced.

Also, the screws that secures the two plastic rings holding the fuel filter in place are they torx head? I can't quite see since they're angled down.

Thanks in advance.

Not same engine, but should give a good idea.

Thank you, djbock. That certainly helps me to get this finished up tomorrow morning.

That is why I miss the "How-to's" being posted on the home page. Would be a lot easier for folks to find the info. Hope it goes smoothly the rest of the way.

Ricky Bobby will become famous soon enough
those look like small "ear clamps" similar to what is used on CV boots, however I'm sure fuel line clamps will work, just make sure you tighten them down good, lot of pressure in those fuel lines!

WOWZERS GUYS finally got the fuel filter changed and mercy what a process. I had a devil of a time getting both the clamp and single front hose off the filter. The back two wasn't so bad. Of course that was all compounded by being overly careful trying not to break any of the plastic fuel lines. I replaced the factory pressed on clamps with the screwdriver tightening solid band-style common on euro cars; my local Autozone sold them. Getting the ginormous belly pan re installed wasn't quite so bad as I was dreading.

Nevertheless I'm glad I got this done and the engine does seem to run a little smoother with a tad more power between shifting. Next on the list front brakes.
