Towing with bad valve seals?
I have an 2005 x5 4.4i and I have been getting smoke at idle - bad valve seals.
My question: what damage can I do if I tow my boat to the landing and back. its only about 15 miles and no hills.

No more damage than if you drove the same 15 miles without a trailer. I wouldn't worry about accelerating the wear on the seals, they took tens of thousands of miles (since new) to get to the state they are in.
