Searching

Hi
I'm new to the BMW scene. I've bought an X5 (2006 - UK)
I've managed to update the computer (29).

Previously and presently I can't sync my Bluetooth phone. Samsung Galaxy.

The display says "Searching" and the LEDs don't light. Bluetooth pairing doesn't appear. After some time it says "Activate your 'phone."

I've downloaded BMW's instructions etc.

Any ideas please?

Regards to all.

Bluetooth pairing

Thanks for the advice - our local dealer can't help.
What are the KL commands?
"Bluetooth pairing" doesn't appear. "Searching" does but no LEDs lighting up or talking either way. I know how to search with the 'phone.

Kind regards

KL are terminal (ignition) positions:
KL 0 = ignition off
KL R = ignition position 1
KL 15 = ignition position 2
KL 50 = start position (engaged)
KL 30 = ignition position key returns to after starting the engine
I have the nav screen...I don't remember if "pairing" appeared on the screen or not...but within the first few minutes...my X5 did appear on my smartphone when looking for BT devices (step 3). BTW, it was easy to find because it says "BMW_ _ _ _ _" where the last 5 blanks were the last 5 digits of my VIN.

Once selecting your BMW...your smartphone should ask for the X's pass code (PK) that is in your BT literature or on the BT module if you don't have the literature with the PK card & code.
