There is usually a guy on Ebay selling OEM ones about 20-30 under dealer costs....

They are tips that aren't welded so install should be pretty explanatory when you get them (usually just push on or set screws)

BMW has a pair for the 4.4i and it looks classy and easy to install. If you have the SP black chrome one, just yank those off and replace with the chrome one. If you don't have the black chrome one, then just install yours.

How is the black tips attached to the exhaust?
I like the OEM 4.6 tips, is it possible to change?

I believe you just gotta pull the existing tips off really hard. They are not welded, you see. But don't knock a part of your body off...that happens to many people yanking off the shift knob (similar procedure).

You can get a set of 4 chrome exhaust tips from your dealer. Alternatively, they sell online for $125 or something on www.bavauto.com

Speaking of which, one of my new year's resolutions is to install chrome tips by the end of the year.
