Ugh...I'd be pissed! Lucky the paint cleaned off easy.

I had my alternator opened up chasing a low voltage problem, mine was a Valeo too. Changing brushes involved replacing the entire voltage regulator. Shop had a whole bunch of Valeos for different cars and it seems this is the norm for Valeos.

No part number either, sorry.
