TerminatorX5 is on a distinguished road
you mentioned that the fuses are good... that includes F75 for the monitor... You mentioned that you TURNED off the monitor - can you tell us what procedure you used to turn the monitor off?

also, when you say MID, you still refer to the monitor, right?... it is clear that you have Nav - do you have TV module as well?

I am trying to gather as much info as possible, as there are many possible configurations of the systems...

when you turn the car on, the radio is on, you are able to change the stations using the buttons on the monitor, right? when you change the stations using the steering wheel buttons, do you get the station numbers on the cluster display in the odometer panel?

when you press the MODE, you are able to get the CD to work, and you are able to change disks and change tracks, right? when you do it from the steering wheel, can you see the changes in front of you?

at night, are you able to see any faint glow on the monitor, or the monitort is totally dark?

at bright daylight, when you look at the monitor, are you able to see faint pictures of the nav, or the other info? or the monitor is dark as well?

try to answer as many questions as you can and don't be afraid to put out as much information as you can - remote diagnostics across ocean is rather a difficult task...
