AC controls not working...

The AC control unit stopped working a few weeks ago, i figured it would be the fuse so i checked that first and f48 was toast. I changed it and everything was working fine until a couple of days ago when the controls stopped working again. Unfortunately i am traveling until monday so wont get a chance to look at it until i get back. I asked a friend to check the fuse so the wife can drive the car. My question to he experts here :-) what is causing the fuse to blow within two weeks? Is it the blower motor resistor causing this?
