Welcome to the Forum / Family. We've had a somewhat similar collection of cars - other than the E28s which I have not had the opportunity to own.

Welcome to the forums!!!

Much like you I have had my share of Bimmers old and new. Had an E28 as well, 1987 535isA in CirrusBlau..

But, one of my favorite of the "older" generations was my 1987 325is 5spd in DelphinGrey/Red?. Fun car to drive, wish I never sold it, still miss it almost 8 years later!! Of the newer, my '02 E46 M3 CarbonBlk/Cinnamon was a treat!!..

So true. Several members of my family are Benz owners (S class, E class, CLK AMG and SLK AMG), everytime I drive one I feel like I'm in an isolation chamber, no direct feedback to driver and non-linear controls. I feel fresh after a long drives in the Benz's (Benzi?), but feel like I just stepped out of a driving simulator.

IMHO, BMW strikes the correct balance between comfort and driver interaction. But then again I have logged over 100k miles in my '94 Viper with 700 hp (800lb GORILLA).
