X5 tires
Im needing a new set of meats for my X5. Looking at tirerack.com the reviews on 285-45-19 and 255-50-19 are really not that good for any brand tire even Michelins don't fair that well. Plus the fact that ya don't rotate tires im curious on what other like and mileage others are getting on tires.

Over the years I have tried many different brands. Some are quieter, some took a little longer to wear out, some were better in the wet or dry etc. etc. but all of them wore out to soon. Currently, I am running Continental Extreme Contac. Sidewalls are a little soft but not enough to offset how little wear I am experiencing and the lower cost.
That said, you will hear many other testimonials endorsing other tires or disagreeing with a positive experience of same tire to sort through.

Your choices for those sizes are limited. It seems like a perfect time to upgrade to 20" set.
My daughter's X5 is running on a set of Bridgestone Turanza. They are ok since she isn't picky about tires.

The 19" style 132s I bought several years ago, from a poster here, came with B Stone Turanzas. When worn out, I could not find them in the right size(s).
I went with Diamaris which are not my fave for basically a 'summer'/non-winter tire. They have worn well, however: have ~ 18k on them, and still very good tread depth. Fwiw, I loved the B Stone Turanzas. Not sure any tire in those sizes is going to run circles around 'another' brand...it's a heavy vehicle, with staggered 19s. Take your pick on brand, imo. If you aren't doing 'snow covered Mtns' in CA, then the 'all'/no season would not be in my consideration. GL, mD
