4.6is owners - how many quarts?
Doing an oil change and can't find any info related specifically to the 4.6is.

The owners manual doesn't say how many quarts it takes???

I'd start with 7.5 and go in half quarts from there lol!

4.6 is 8.5 with new filter.

If you also changed the filter, the total, including any additive should total 8.5 quarts. Don't overfill. If the total amount of oil and additive is less than 8.5 quarts you can add what is needed to fill to proper amount. However, it won't hurt anything to leave it half a quart low and add oil when it is a quart low.

Good advice. I always tend to overfill a little.

Sound advice! I always check the oil regularly, and when it hits a quart low, off to Advanced I go.
