Pano sunroof won't close!
It started yesterday. I had the sunroof on the vent position for about 40 mins. When I tried closing it, it would start to close - only move about 1/4 inch downwards and then open back up. I tried to close a a few times and nothing. I decided to remove the glass panels (both front and rear) just in-case - I didn't want to accidentally shatter them. It turned out that they were off track so I put them back on and cliked the button back to make sure everything was alright. Now the sunroof is in the fully open position and I can't get it to close. I can get it to close about 1/5 of the way but then it just retracts all the way back. Anyone know what could be keeping it from closing all the way? The track seem clear of any debris. |

You might have to re-calibrate the closing position of the roof. IIRC, you have to hold the button down for a few seconds or so. Search for procedure.

I tried to do the recalibration. It only moves forward a bit then retracts. It seems likes its jammed or something

gotta be jammed - pinch protection is activating... so, the reset procedure, when you hold the roof button in for 75 seconds does nothing?

It would move forward about 1/5 of the way then it would stop and move all the way back. Update: I held it down several times money than 75 seconds. After the initial movement, it doesn't seem to go through the reset procedure Last edited by duckseatfree; 08-01-2013 at 04:36 PM. |

duckseatfree, was it easy to remove the two glass sheets?
I'm having a SIMILAR issue. when I'm in the vented position and I press the switch to auto close, it will not, and nor will it close when I press the button to first position, BUT IF I press adn HOLD the button in the close position it will close. I can not find anything to show why its acting up, so I'm tihnking I have to remove my glass sheets.

Yea...its fairly simple to remove the glass panels. Front has 6 screws. Back has 4 screws

I've tried just about everything I can think of and I'm still having issues with it getting to the closed position. Would this require me to remove the whole piece?

as the roof is closing, before it retracts back, can you hear anything in the roof - noise indicating that the moving track ran into an obstacle, or, maybe the motor got strained for a moment before retracting? if the issue is not in the software/firmware, it could be a mechanical obstacle on the tracks...
