Pano sunroof won't close!

Ok, I've done a good bit of reading on this and I can't seem to find anyone that has the same problem as I do. 2005 x5 4.4i.

It started yesterday. I had the sunroof on the vent position for about 40 mins. When I tried closing it, it would start to close - only move about 1/4 inch downwards and then open back up. I tried to close a a few times and nothing.

I decided to remove the glass panels (both front and rear) just in-case - I didn't want to accidentally shatter them. It turned out that they were off track so I put them back on and cliked the button back to make sure everything was alright.

Now the sunroof is in the fully open position and I can't get it to close. I can get it to close about 1/5 of the way but then it just retracts all the way back. Anyone know what could be keeping it from closing all the way? The track seem clear of any debris.
