Advise on angel eye upgrade

Hi all I'm looking at upgrading my yellow angel eyes. My car has xenon headlights and I'm looking to get some white looking angel eyes rather than yellow. Maybe have them running as daytime running lights.

How easy is it to change the angel eyes and can someone recommend a 10w kit?
Unless there better than 10w.

Sound like you have facelift E53. Please add that to your signature to help us help you.
There're 25w kit, but they burnt out very soon. Search forum for that.
I bought my 10w kit on eBay. Bright enough for me. The bulb won't go in the holder without some force in my case. It's a good thing since it fits on there tight. They are pretty much plug-and-play.
The only way to make them into DRL is hardwired them to a wire in the ECU.

Can u use BMW scanner 1.4 to enable drl? Is does it still need some wiring mod ?
Would the 10w burn out quick? How quick is quick?

You can enable or disable DRL (normal high beam at low power) You can't make AEs -> DRL with that.

Where u get them from? We're they 10w ?

I'm still trying to do a lot of reading on this is there one upgrade kit that better than others? I read people talking about CREE kits?

Also the kits on eBay are for a pair. So I assume u need 2 kits one for each side?

I ordered them from their website, very fast shipping. So far I'm happy, but obviously no long term review yet. They are nice and bright white with no flicker or error codes. Direct plug and play. But they are more expensive. There are lots of threads on here about wiring them as drl's or reprogramming. Also don't expect them to match the newer BMW's in brightness as the ring optics aren't as good.
Overall, a solid and simple solution to the dim yellow originals (I replaced mine as they had burnt out).

Hello fellas, Grant.. which kit did you end up choosing and how's it holding up? i also am interested in doing the same. I wanted to ask if i changed into the 10w kit would this change anything to the drl's, or this is totally separate from the drl light/bulb?

thanks
