If a wheel from another model falls within the same spec (range) as your model, then there shouldn't be a problem other than considering tire size differences, wheel width, and wheel bolt length. Some models share the same common specs (bolt pattern/offset range/hub size) but may have a larger or smaller tire circumference/diameter due to weight and other considerations.

A wheel with a larger center bore than your BMW's wheel hub can be fitted with "hub centric rings" to make up the difference. A wheel with a smaller center bore than your BMW's wheel hub will require either wheel adapter/wheel spacers that will accommodate the difference.

With BMW introducing AWD on every model line up...and with the odd split hub size difference on some models (X5M/X6)...the offset range and center bore for some of the rear staggered set-ups (or front wheel specs) may be "doable" on other models unlike in the past where the 5/6/7/8/Z8 models could basically share wheels...and the 3/X/Z3/Z4 models shared wheel specs.

Thanks Qsilver7 ....complete infos as usual:-).....

FWIW, $4k can get you some nicer/lighter wheel/tire combos. These OE wheels and runflat tires are HEAVY.

The $4k is quite heavy too i have to admit ... Ideally i would keep my 19inches but with new modern rim fit on the white X staggerd black and silver rim ...i was looking for replica but found not too many choices here in Canada...

They don't look good on an E53, IMO
