Thanks for the advice. Actually my mechanic is a European car specialist and he owns an X5 himself.

Ricky Bobby will become famous soon enough
Wheels are dirty as hell man! Hahahahah, she looks good though and I wish you luck with it. Great find with low miles!

Welcome to Xoutpost, looking forward to hearing from you and seeing more pics of your ride, make sure to update your signature with Year/Model info and any relevant options, it makes it much easier when troubleshooting problems for members.

Interested to see how your tranny issue sorts out, maybe you just need a reset of the computer? Someone doing one too many neutral drops at stoplights?

I picked up mine for $21K with 59K on the clock. I traded in my 01 Pathfinder SE 5spd manual. I miss the 3rd pedal but I didn't want a 3.0. I was reading about the 6spd swap into a 4.8is. I prefer manuals over autos. The only auto I have had in any of my German cars was a 99 Passat. That 5spd Tiptronic was pretty darn good. Never gave me any problems. It had 120K on the clock I want to say before the timing belt let go. I had the belt and wp replaced at 75K when I was living in Seattle, but upon inspecting the broken belt, it looked to be the original. Oh well.
