Test Bench Setup
Okay been a while since i posted. Last post was about a place to grab power for front passenger side LCD. - thats done. Just need to source the oem sunvisors fabric.
Now i come to you again for help for my big project. Test bench setup-is this possible? 1. Connect main wire harness to bench power supply and run navigation radio, nav computer, Gps puck, dsp amp, tv module and nav board monitor, maybe my bluetooth module too, without damaging anything. I know it needs and I bus signal but it gets that from the car. I just want to pre wire everything in my house before I start the tedious proces of retrofitting my X with all that. I know I've seen ebay posts where they have taken pics of the nav units working outside of the cars. 2. Then my next question: would any of the systems not being all the way connected in the car trigger a fatal fault to my X? Say for example im not done the retrofit but i need to go to work. board monitor not installed yet or dsp amp not installed X will still start right no music for drive to work but no lights that have to be reset at stealer like airbag or nothing?

well i failed the test bench setup.
I connected power to the navigation radio but couldnt get no power to flow to any of the other components. I could not get board monitor to turn on, not sure if dsp amp turned on , not sure if tv tuner turned on. all i know i applied 12vdc regulated power to the 12vdc and 12vdc switched and black to ground. Not sure if other harness is needed to make it all work like pulling my bluetooth module out. any ideas???

figured it out.. KKB connector is where all the different power pins are for different devices.
