Strange no starts going on.

I am not able to read any codes, i dont have the autologic nor have i found a windows Xp laptop yet...

But a few days ago i started the car at about 11 in the morning, in the garage, not really cold. Waiting for it to warm up changing music and the all of a sudden
ENGINE FAILSAFE and car turned off. checked oil just to be sure.. then tried to start again and nothing, not even the starter ticking.

Locked and Unclocked car and it started but with the engine light on.. then it went away the next day or later that day or something.


Today: went to start it and nothing at all, the starter wasnt even trying. There was NO tick tick tick you get with a dead battery, everyhting and the screen worked fine. Tried the lock and unclock and nothing worked. the KEY STILL WORKED unlocked the car and everything.

Put a battery tender on and didnt even wait and then it started up again with the Engine light.

OBC voltage read 14.1-14.4 usually its like 13.7 when running..? last i checked.

Alternator was replaced 1-1.5 years ago.

My guess it may be the battery?
Crank position sensor?
