Installing New Pads Without Lubrication

Hey all, I am new to this forum site but I have a 2004 X5 4.4i. I recently changed the front brake pads and rotors but I didn't use any plastilube or anti-squeal products. Basically I just put on the pads onto the caliper metal to metal. The problem is, when I step on the brakes and release there is a noise. More like a two metal pieces rubbing on each other. Would this go away if I continue to drive it or would I need to apply plastilube? The brand that I used were Genuine BMW Brake pads and rotors.
