open headlights

hey i have a questioni wanted to know if an 03 pre-facelift x5 headlights open or can those one not be open?

Both face lift and pre face lift can be opened. The pre face lift is much easier to do.

October 2002 on used a harder glue that does not bake. Dremel worked for some of the newer light units.

One of the members here actually installed led halos in his face lift head lights. He did a write up on it too I believe.

Use baking method. I don't think you get enough heat from a heatgun. They CAN be open. Mrbmwx5 had done it.
