I was gonna suggest it last night.. but wanted to keep it PG and unmolested... But so long as we are talking about it. Grand Theft auto that bastard and switch the VIN's. A little heat on the door jamb sticker to switch them out and you'll be good to go!

Although we are not suggesting you do all that illegal stuff... just maybe persuading a bit!

If youre wanting the big brakes, i would simply take the front knuckle right off, disconnect the brake caliper, abs /brake pad sensors, tension strut, lower contol arm, tie rod, and the axle, then lower the strut, and use that whole assembly, youll get a bigger wheel bearing, and all the brake stuff would fit! (need 18"+ wheels though)

As for the dash VIN, you can drill it out and swap it if you can find the rossette rivets. you used to be able to buy them on ebay until they cracked down on it.

eye!!! my heart is bleeding just at the thought of you trying to swap the items off the 4.8!!! you will not be able to make the 4.4 to be like the 4.8 and in the process, the 4.8 will be destroyed... i would recommend what TTGTR suggested, swap the VIN plates, and find somebody at your local office that will formalize the change over... keep the 4.8 alive...

as far as the options...

high speed sync - the 4.8 does not have a "speed governor" that limits the top speed at a certain level by electronically cutting the power to the drivetrain system... the 4.8 maxes out at the natural maximum speed for the engine, road, tires - no electronic cut out... the 4.4 will cut out at 137 MPH (i might not be correct on the exact number, but the speed is electronically limited)

Battery master switch - used during transportation of the vehicles while on the boat across the ocean to prevent battery discharge, removed by a local dealer prior to vehicle delivery to the customer. This option is listed, as the list is "factory list" and that switch was installed at the factory, but then, removed by a selling dealer, and the switch was returned back to the factory for the next shipment...

White direction lights - on the 4.4 you have the white lights on the tail, from what is visible on the pic, but not on the sides and front...
headlight cleaning - not visible on the 4.4
steering wheel heater, seat heaters, alarm...

we need more pics of the 4.4, especially those questionable items to figure out what is going on... for the headlight washer system - take a look at the windshield washer tank, if it has 3 pumps, you had the system at one point, if it has only 2 pumps - further investigation is needed...

could it be that the 4.4 was "pilferaged" at one point in its life? besides, the 4.4 is COLD WEATHER car, while the 4.8 is HOT CLIMATE version... for some reason, i would think that in Egypt a hot version would be more appropriate...
