Looks like I'm scre@%ed. I took a better look at the pictures (No.7 and 8) and besides not finding the rear section of the shade (I think...), I noticed that the thin vented piece placed between the two sun shade covers has been pushed back and twisted, likely having fallen off from the right rail (see what part I mean in the image below). Not the best the way to begin a new ownership of an X5...

my sunshade just got jammed last month and I saw the rail in the middle come off the rail between the forward and rear shade

wait until spring/summer to fix it

update on rear roof stuck

Any update on this?

My rear shade got stuck and broke apart from the front shade. Does anyone know of an easy way to pull it back out manually?

I was able to manually cycle through the shade settings by pressing and holding the screen button, but the rear shade will not appear when the cycle is completed.
