I looked for a thread where we discussed how to best burn the firmware to a disc but I couldn't find it. I don't remember for sure but I think it was 2X or maybe 4X. Seems to me the slower the better and burn it to a very good disc. FYI- If you don't have the MKIV you might want to check out the features before investing further in the MKIII.
