The photo of the spark plug and the coil extension aren't pretty. What type of smell: gas or oil? If the coil is bad (not a nice example of the coil extension) - this could be the culprit.

You replaced the plugs (unknown mileage up to this point), which is good. The extension part of the coil isn't a happy picture, I would hope you replaced this. If not - you need to do so and any others that look the same.

BMWX5CHI is giving you good advice on the CCV and the hoses - which is a known replacement item. Check Bav Auto's video on Youtube. Replace this proactively and to eliminate an issue, either now or in the future. I did a similar proactive update to my engine (I have a Euro 3.0 diesel with the M57) - with an improved cyclonic PCV rather than a filter that clogs. For 35 EUR and 90 minutes of my time, it's worth the trouble.

For the 3.0 L gasoline engine, CCV and DISA are things to replace proactively.

I would also check the distribution piece too. Part#5 in the diagram. It's held on by 6 O-rings (#6 part#11617502761) You might accidently bump it when doing the works. The O-rings is pretty cheap to replace to eliminate vacuum leak.

What spark-plug did you put in? NGK BKR6EQUP?
If all else failed, have a smoke-test done to find the vacuum leak. Might be intake manifold gasket.
If the vacuum on your DISA valve check out, get a kit from GAS (German Auto Solution) to perform the upgrade and not worry about the flap or pin coming loose.

Thank you guys for the suggestions I appreciate that. So, I took my car to the dealership 2 days ago and after diagnosing the car they find out that the DME is gone bad and I need to replace it. Their explanation was the misfire happened because of bad spark plug and because I drove the car while misfiring, the misfire fed back to DME & shorted out the circuitry for cylinder #6. They asked for $2200 for new DME and coding, but I didn't do it hoping there is another alternative solution, maybe buy used one, or get the old one fixed. Have you guys experienced this problem before? or do you anybody who did?

Thanks

You need to determine if there is a spark to the plugs and if not why not. If you have a spark at the plugs could be the injectors then. Could also be the DME.
I think this guy nailed it. You can have the DME repaired. Just do a Google search or go to Bimmerforums.com and do a search over there. Problem with getting a new DME is that you still need to bring it to a dealer or Indy that can program it to work with your car.
