If you like it, then good for you! For me the head unit is too small for the bezel.

I just installed an android head unit made by AVINUSA. It's pretty sweat, had a few bugs to work out but I got it all up and running now. I have yet to made a thorough review but here are some pics (these pics suck, will show better ones soon)

I agree about the surround- but it looks better in person. What this Alpine can do and the way it works far outshines the large surround. I have many Garmin and Factory GPS's and this is by far the best. Besides all the other functions it does very very well. Your unit does look far better but had older BMW navs and they sucked and I'm sure the other BMW functions are limited. Everything is a trade off, never get what you really want
