Progressive redline lights don't work...

I have a 03 4.6is, my redline tach lights don't light up when I start the car. Only the last one is lit up as if car was already completely warmed up. It's brutally cold in Chicago this time a year, could the extreme cold (teens) be causing this?
Please help...

cold could have caused this... you said only last segment is lit... normal operation, warm engine, you would have two segments lit, the last RED one and the one more, YELLOW?ORANGE in color, around 6500 RPM mark or so... do you have both LEDs lit up or just one, the red one?

also, when did the problem start? what coincided with the problem? do you have any other issues? you should test to see if the LEDs/light bulbs are burnt or not - do you know how to invoke TEST 02? in TEST02 you can see all the lights of the cluster illuminate, and you will see if the ones in question light up or not... if they don't light up, then they have burnt... if they do light up during test, but not during operation, then you have some other issues, that need to be troubleshot further...

Terminator, problem started two days ago and to the best of my knowledge nothing unusual caused it. Yes, last orange/yellow bar and the red one are lit up when I turn the ignition on as well as when I start the engine. It is really bizarre as my cluster is perfect, not even a single dead pixel. I will perform the test02 as you suggested and post my findings tomorrow. Thanks.

Update, it is still super cold but the lights have come back to life! All of the sudden they started to function properly again for couple of days now. It is still unknown to me why this happened other than temp being in mid teens and single digits. All is well again, all things in the cluster appear to work well...for now at least. Thanks guys.
