SOLVED - Mid will not power after re-locating
After the mid relocation I couldn't not power on the mid. The light of the buttons turned on when the headlamp is on but the radio button to turn on is not working. I checked fuse 7, 72, and 73 they look fine. I recheck my cable many times look like they all connected. I didn't disconnect the battery while cutting the wires. It is stupid of me that I cut all the wires at the same time. Could this have caused the issue?

cutting ALL wires at once??? with power still connected??? this is a HUGE no-no in the world of electronics!!! unless your goal is destruction of equipment (sometimes we have to do it in hostile environments, to prevent equipment falling into wrong hands!!)
gee... i don't even know where to start the troubleshooting in this case... anything smells of burnt electronics? any visible burn marks? were sparks flying when you cut it??? |

Yeah I know it was my stupidity. Smell nothing, all the fuse look fine. I'll try to disconnect the battery for 15 minutes and reconnect to see if it reset something. I use inpa to scan after everything is connected back but found no error code.

I did some research and people mentioning about the radio module in the trunk. I will check it out tomorrow hoping it blew the fuse within the radio module. Crossing fingures

BM54/BM53 is a trunk mounted radio module that goes along with factory nav system. since you got the MID, you don't have factory nav, and your radio should be in the front of the car. the radio should have a 10A fuse... why did you move the MID? did you install an aftermarket unit? probably removed the radio along with the MID, did you?

So the radio built into the mid? My plan was to move the mid into the glove box so I have the room to install my nexus 7 and use the aux to send audio to dip amp. I was in the hurry so after removed the mid, took the connector out, the I cut the 5 wires at the same time (stupid decision). After extended the wires long enough to reach to the glove box, i then double check all the 5 wires and connected the mid, turned the key, hit the power button but it didn't turn on. The center player still accept and eject the cd. There must be a fuse somewhere that blew up while I cut the wires. I will connect the scanner and check for the mid module tomorrow.
