What is this thing?

Any clues what this might be?

Yeah, it seems to be some kind of box-like thing that must have held something. I'll snap a better shot in a bit.

X5Prof could use some photo tips from Green Dragon .... If its the two 'vertical' bars in the blurry picture, my guess, if you pull off the oval hitch mount location cover, you will see that PO Fox Mulder misinstalled a [perhaps] aftermarket trailer hitch, or part of it - perhaps an alien spaceship recovery hitch?

Cut out for 2" receiver hitch. You start some strange threads dude.

Thumbs down What the @?!

If you indeed talking about that oval shapped punchout with the grab handle, just reach down with your fingers and pull it out.

You will see the trailer hitch mounting area, where you too can install the $2500 trailer 2" hitch if you are so inclined. See threads for that project.

Now, if you are referring to the shaps under the vehicle, that looks like a school crossing guard and stop sign to me.....

Mounting support for alien spaceship trailer hitch, goes with the alien twins fetus window sticker.

I think Molder and Scully were POs of your X. Have you checked for protoplasmic goo under the rear seats?
