Hmm, yeah I guess it is a heat shield. It was so weird looking, the paranoid side of me was thinking it might be something more interesting.

That looking your exhaust insulation ( heat shield) got lose.

Looks like your heat shields gave out. Buy some big enough washers and make sure they will overlap the holes of the heat shield so that you can reuse the factory screws and screw it back in place. They should be 10mm screws. Those heat shields tend to corrode where the screws are and they end up falling out causing noises in the undercarriage.

That sticker in the back of your X changes colors when there is a malfunction with the ships ''Docking Station''. That particular color means that your ships ''Heat Shields'' are down so you better get them fixed.
