Ok. So I replaced Fuel Injector #5 and all the top O-rings (my seal kit came with the wrong size O-rings for the bottom). The new injector looked quite different than the others but the important dimensions were right and it fit just fine. I started it back up and it had a permanent misfire on cylinder 5, even at idle. I tried switching the new injector to cylinder 4. Now its back to running fine until it gets above 5500 RPM. Then it goes into a limp mode which I can fix by clearing the codes. Only now I get misfire on cylinders 4 and 5. I have checked and the re is definitely no fuel leaking form the O-rings.

Hook up INPA and look at the cylinder balance at idle. Does it also misfire revving to 5500 RPMs in neutral (no load)? Is there a chance you dropped some gasket material into the intake manifold while replacing the DISA and there's gasket material blocking the airflow in the number 5 port?

Anyone know if that software works with a Bluetooth OBD Adapter? That's all I have, using the torque app. I also have a fuel system failure.

Reving to 5500 RPMs with no load on the engine is never good thing to do. At what RPM does it shift on its own when you hold the go pedal to the floor and does it miss under those circumstances?
