All you have to do to reset throttle adaptation is leave key in position 2 for 2 minutes, then turn off. Then start car.

My M62TU has been fine for over 4k miles with a K&N drop in. I get no gurgling from the open dipstick.
I have had K&N filters for decades, no issues yet.

If the functions of the throttle valve under normal (factory) operations are cold start, backup and to maintain 50 mbar of vacuum in the intake for CCV operation. How does it know if that 50 mbar is off? I can't find a vacuum sensor.

Sounds similar to what mine was doing at first only I had no faults that I know of.. After I put together a CAI just ran it for a while now she runs nice and smooth no problems.
