ah yeah I guess x5's are okay on snow and ice. . .

Since I know you guys love to see pics of x5's getting properly used I figured I would share these. My buddy's family has a pretty awesome lakehouse that we go to in the summer all the time. This time of year when weather permits they do a huge tip up weekend where everyone brings up snomobiles, atv's dirtbikes, trucks etc. and plays around on the frozen lake. The past few years didn't have a good freeze but this year it was great 18"+ of ice means anything goes!! My buddy told me the more toys I bring the more fun we'll have so I hooked my car hauler up to the x5 with my sandrail on the back (chains on the tires) and loaded the x5 with a towable parasail and my paramotor / paragdlider. Planned on the x5 just being a transporter but once I got there and saw about 500 trucks parked on the ice like it was a walmart parking lot with thousands of sleds and atv's to boot I had to get the x5 on the lake and powder. She was a perfect tow vehicle for the parasail and I thoroughly enjoyed the looks on guys in big pickup trucks face as I blew by them in the x5 at 50mphwhile they struggled through the 8+ inches of snow (it should be a bmw commercial). I was the only one on the ice representing fine german automobiles and I am reasonably certain I am the only person to ever tow a parasail with a bimmer now! Awesome weekend and it was really unbelievable how great the x5 handled the snow and ice the thing proved again what a versatile and awesome truck it is.

And not x5 related but in case your wondering what the backpack looking thing with a propeller on the back is for. . .
