Constant 12v power source

Guys

does anyone know if there is a constant 12v power source available from the cigarette lighters when car is locked??

I want to install a GPS device that needs constant power

12V cigarette lighters are fed directly from the battery (via a fuse)... the 2 lighters, and the three power sockets are fed directly from battery...

The X 12v sockets are always on... Which i dont like because if i have an inverter plugged in or my radar i always have to unplug them or it stays on.

where is the 3rd power socket terminatorx5?

I have looked under the glove box but just cant see it

mine is a UK spec

@kamba, just look closely around underneath with a flashlight. Is yours right hand drive? Im assuming itd still be on the same location but thats our "drivers" side.

I don't think right hand drive X5's have the footwell socket.

interesting, the WDS did not make any special references to the LHD or RHD... in this case, I would suspect that the connector and the fuse are still present but the actual outlet is not installed (which could be confirmed or denied by running cross-reference of RHD VIN in the RealOEM)...

Anyways, there are two outlets in the trunk and two inside the passenger compartment - front and back...
