The n62 valve covers usually last much longer before they need replacement. In most cases with n62, if there just slight seepage from the valve / timing covers - just leave them alone!

X5only - did you decide on the collapsible pipe brand? Are you planning to replace water pump?
Yes.. After much research I opted for Uro Part Pipe . Yes, I'm replacing the water pump and a whole host of other parts to fix coolant leaks and oil leaks- valley pan, valve cover gaskets, upper timing case gaskets, etc. The driver side upper timing case cover is leaking pretty heavily. The vacuum pump is also leaking and I suspect the oil pressure switch as well. Other than these leaks the car runs strong and healthy.

Coolant pipe water pump side gasket completely deteriorated. Other side in great shape. Engine heat or perhaps differences in material?
