Any thoughts on GPS upgrades?

And, yes, I know how to use the search button. Any of you guys have to deal with the DSP stuff?

Does the name EONON GPS systems mean anything to you guys?

Looking for an OEM-look.

2 DIN, NAV, WiFi, AM/FM, Sirrius is optional and Muy Importante.. gotta be able to use BT iPhone 5.

I have Eonon GPS. OEM look and it has been working great. Recently upgraded Nav with iGO Primo 2.4 and now playing around with iDrive menu. And I have DSP.

Okay, how'd you get them to work together? Cutting, chasing wires or truly P&P? As soon as I hear back from you, I'm on the phone with these guys!.

There's a thread about the Eonon, basically the guy had nothing but trouble with it, there are some threads about it on other BMW site as well. I would really do some homework before I bought it, I installed the Hualingan in my X, it looked the best to me and I've had no problems with it. You have to get the 3rd Gen version, the first two versions had issues, the two most popular for the X5 are the Dynavin and the Hualingan. I have DSP and I had to do what's called the DSP workaround to get it to work.

Those must have been older models or older firmware. My unit has been reliable with clear sound. Only complaint is that I can hear the fan noise from the unit with the engine off and climate control off and no music playing. But with engine running, I don't hear it; especially with music playing so it doesn't bother me. I have Dynavin in my E46 M3. I paid double for that unit and Eonon works just as well. For the price you can't beat it. I have the unit that was designed for E39 but Eonon now offers the face-plate that is specifically designed for E53 with the curve.

Bruce,

I used the following DSP walkaround. Click the link below for DIY.

Additional part you need for DSP walkaround.
