Why so much doom and gloom? I agree that E53 X5 isn’t the most reliable but not bad if you’re willing to wrench a little. I'm still loving my X5!

If all someone has to say to the first time owner is to scare them of their newly acquired SAV, that's not cool. Their experience might not be the same as yours. I own various E53s since 2005 and I'm quite satisfied with them.
