Ok had the X5 for few weeks now
And upon first start up or if it's been left standing for a few hours it lets of A white/blue cloud of smoke smells like oil I have previously blanked hose of the vacuum pipe from EGR valve and smoke stopped a little The vacuum pipe has now been reconnected when Connecting it I thought I would see whether EGR was gunky It was clean however there was some Moisture inside valve but like a drop of oil With the EGR vacuum pipe connected whenever I give it hard acceleration I leave behind a cloud of Smoke My question is what is at fault - EGR valve - EGR cooler - valve stem seals |
